Why they were nominated

Jordan leads the way a community leader should: by giving his time, experience and energy to the people around him. Jordan joined the Niagara Industrial Association as a member in 2008. He went on to serve as a Director and as Chair of the Board, and today he is its Executive Director. Few people know the organization, and the industrial community it serves, from as many angles.

He came to the role with real operating experience. He was President of a heavy equipment manufacturer and later a senior strategy leader at a construction firm, both in Port Colborne. That background means he understands the daily pressures facing Niagara’s manufacturers and trades. It also shows in how he leads: he is always looking for new ways to bring value to members.

Under Jordan, the NIA has grown and is a strong voice for a sector that supports more than 650 businesses and 22,000 employees in Niagara. When U.S. tariff threats put local supply chains at risk, the NIA spoke up for fair trade policy. It also helped members diversify their markets and strengthen their resilience, working with policymakers and community partners. Jordan also builds bridges between established industry and the next generation of innovators and talent. That makes him exactly the kind of engaged, relationship-focused leader this award recognizes.
